We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently.
Together with our partners, we support thousands of homeless young people each year.
The Finance team consists of the Financial Accounting team and Financial Management team. The teams work closely with each other. This role sits within the Financial Accounting team. We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for recording and posting supplier invoices, processing staff expenses, and procurement cards, as well as handling ad hoc payments. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to reconcile accounts and ensure timely payments.
What you’ll be doing…
- Paying suppliers and staff – prepare and process and run twice monthly BACS and cheque run, ensuring payments are authorised appropriately and with the correct supporting documentation.
- Working effectively with suppliers, responding appropriately to queries.
- To provide information as required by internal customers for efficient executions of their tasks
- To work with staff to ensure invoices, staff expense claims are processed and paid on time.
- To propose and if approved, investigate and assist with implementing innovative ways of delivering efficient payment service.
