Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Young Parents’ Support and Progression Officer to join our Greenwich service based in Abbey Wood and Charlton.

Together with our partners, we support thousands of homeless young people each year.
The role involves managing 30 units of accommodation for young parents and young people across three services in Greenwich, providing both high and low-level support 24/7. The post holder will be responsible for supporting young parents to achieve independence, find stable employment, and access education and training opportunities.
We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation; health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.

What you’ll be doing
- Working within the Young parent service based in Greenwich, providing support to vulnerable young Parents and single young people.
- Working in a team with a strong understanding of the developmental needs of children, the challenges of parenting.
- Promote a vibrant culture with an uncompromising commitment to excellence, reflecting and responding to health and housing needs and fully integrating support packages that reflect the needs of those accessing the service.
- Working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team that works with young parents / Young people to identify and meet their personal, social, health, learning and work needs.
- Follow the lead from line management to ensure that all performance and contractual targets are met and exceeded.
