As a Private Rented Sector Move-on Officer, you’ll play a vital part in helping people move from supported accommodation into private rented homes. You’ll work closely with supported accommodation providers, voluntary sector partners, landlords, and clients to promote the private rented sector as a realistic and accessible move-on option.
Your Work Will Include:
- Delivering training and workshops to staff and clients in supported accommodation, helping them to search for and apply for private rented tenancies.
- Promoting and administering incentives for both landlords and individuals moving on to private rented tenancies.
- Supporting new tenancies to be created for clients moving into the private rented sector.
- Using a multi-agency approach to coordinate support and maximise tenancy sustainment.
- Identifying and addressing barriers to move-on, empowering providers and clients to take the next step towards independent living.
- Keeping accurate records and ensuring timely payments to individuals and landlords.
- Reviewing service levels and contributing to continuous improvement.
You’ll be part of a supportive team, managed by the Private Renting Team Leader, and will have the opportunity to influence positive change across Bristol’s housing pathways.
