Centrepoint is the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity and now the largest provider of Housing First for young people in England, is looking for Deputy Service Manager to join our Camden Progress Service Team based in Camden, London.

We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Together with our partners, we support thousands of homeless young people each year.

The Camden Progress Services consist of three Supported Housing properties located in the London Borough of Camden for 16–25-year-old males. All young people we accommodate are referred from the Local Authority and are either Looked After Children or Care Leavers. Across the three services there are 27 bedspaces, 18 support workers and 3 managers.

The function of the progress stage is to provide a young person with a safe and secure environment to develop their independent living skills, engage in or continue education training or employment and develop positive relationships to prepare them to move onto the last stage of the pathway.

What you’ll be doing

Working with the Service Manager to lead a dynamic frontline team
Developing the skills within the team to create an ever evolving approach to support
Creating and maintaining a positive environment for young people to thrive
Effectively managing risk and safeguarding young people from abuse
Working with the Service Manager to ensure the service is safe, compliant and meeting the required performance standard
