We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Advisor to join our Care Leavers service in Dorset. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference to the lives of young people aged 16-25 as they transition from care to independent living.
As a Personal Advisor, You Will
- build trusting, supportive relationships with care leavers
- provide practical and emotional support to help young people develop independence skills
- develop and review Pathway Plans tailored to individual needs and aspirations
- work in partnership with internal teams and external agencies (housing, education, health, employment services)
- support young people to access education, training, employment and safe accommodation
- advocate for young people to ensure their voices are heard
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- has experience working with young people
- understands the challenges faced by care leavers
- has strong communication and relationship-building skills
- is organised, resilient and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- is committed to achieving positive outcomes for young people
