About Julian House:
Julian House is a charity dedicated to making a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society. We run several projects and every year we help thousands of people out of homelessness, into employment, away from domestic abuse, and more.
If you’d like a real sense of job satisfaction, great career prospects and a competitive benefits package, you could be who we’re looking for!
About the Role:
We’re looking for a passionate and resilient Team Leader to join our Dorset Rough Sleeper Service, supporting adults who have experienced homelessness and rough sleeping across Dorset.
Our service delivers specialist outreach in partnership with local housing, health, and support organisations. Together, we help people move away from street‑based lifestyles by building skills, confidence, and independence as a stepping stone towards sustainable, independent living.
Our clients often lead complex lives and may have experienced trauma, mental ill‑health, substance misuse, domestic abuse, or involvement with the criminal justice system. This is a role where compassion, perseverance, and strong leadership truly make a difference.
As Team Leader, you’ll have day‑to‑day responsibility for service delivery, leading and inspiring a committed outreach team to provide high‑quality, person‑centred support. You’ll play a key role in developing strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners, ensuring services are well coordinated and focused on achieving positive, long‑term outcomes for clients.
What you’ll be doing:
- Outcome-Focused Approach: Support the team in delivery outreach and support services that are trauma-informed, strengths-based, and tailored to individual needs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal colleagues and external partners to enhance service delivery and community impact.
- Team Support & Inspiration: Lead, motivate and support staff to perform at their best, fostering positive and collaborative team culture.
- Community Presence: Represent Julian House in the local community, attending meetings and engaging with stakeholders to promote the service and strengthen partnerships.
Please note: Job descriptions are not exhaustive, and the successful candidate may occasionally be asked to take on other duties that align with the key responsibilities outlined.

- A generous and competitive pension scheme
- A supportive culture where staff feedback is highly valued and regular supervisions with line managers are conducted
