Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Housing Services Coordinator located in Newark and Sherwood. The Housing Services Coordinator will handle day-to-day responsibilities such as managing housing service delivery, addressing housing queries from the public, supporting residents with their needs, and coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth service delivery. The role will also involve collaborating with community organizations, monitoring housing programs, and contributing to local housing strategies. The ideal candidate will support the council’s mission to provide housing assistance and improve community living.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of housing policies, public housing programs, and local government housing regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with residents, community groups, and other stakeholders effectively.
- Organizational and administrative skills, such as managing case files, preparing reports, and organizing resources or meetings.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to address housing needs and challenges promptly.
- Experience with collaborative work environments and partnerships with internal teams or external organizations.
- Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite or housing management systems.
- Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Previous experience in housing services or a public sector role is advantageous.
