They are now looking for a Refugee Support Officer to join them on a full-time basis on a one-year fixed-term contract, working 40 hours per week.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Refugee Support Officer, you will provide advice and guidance to residents on their housing options.
Working on a one-to-one basis with residents, you will create person-centred action plans, set goals, and provide vital support around housing options, affordability, and property searches.
You will help to develop residents’ independent living skills, offer advice on finances and employment, and deliver group workshops that prepare them for the next stage of their journey.
Alongside this, you will build strong links with local authorities, estate agents, housing associations, and referral partners to expand opportunities and address residents’ needs.
Additionally, you will:
- Signpost individuals to external agencies and referral partners
- Maintain accurate case records and use the CRM system effectively
About You
To be considered as a Refugee Support Officer, you will need:
- Experience of providing advice, guidance, advocacy and culturally sensitive support
- Experience of working with people with complex or multiple support needs
- Experience of assessing, managing and reviewing needs and risks
- Current knowledge of homelessness and housing options in Wolverhampton
- The ability to manage a caseload and maintain accurate records
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Confident Microsoft skills (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
