St. George’s Crypt is a Christian charity based in Leeds, dedicated to providing shelter, support, and hope to the homeless, the vulnerable, and those suffering from addiction. Our mission is to offer a safe environment with physical, emotional, and spiritual support for those in need. Job Purpose:
As a Marketing Assistant at St. George’s Crypt, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of our marketing strategy to promote the charity’s vision across Leeds. You will support the execution of a wide range of marketing activities that increase brand visibility, drive engagement, and attract support from the community. This role involves working closely with the wider Marketing team to develop compelling content, optimise web presence, and build relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Ø Work with the Line manager to develop our current email marketing strategy
Ø Utilise Google Ads to improve the visibility of St. George’s Crypt in search engine results.
Ø Implement SEO strategies, including keyword planning, to improve the website's search engine ranking and drive organic traffic.
Ø Work with marketing team to manage the Website CMS and recommend changes to enhance SEO performance.
Ø Use Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva to create engaging content for our social media and websites.
Ø Possess an understanding of AI and its potential to support marketing functions.
Essential Job Specific
Ø Experience in Email Marketing.
Ø Understanding of Google Ads.
Ø Knowledge of Website Content Management Systems (CMS).
Ø An understanding of tools such as Google Analytics and Web Analytics.
Ø Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro) and/or Canva for content creation.
Ø An understanding of storytelling to build brand awareness and recognition.
Ø Excellent interview and written communication skills for producing high-quality content tailored to different audiences.
Skills

Ø Full UK driving licence.
Campaign Development and Execution
Ø Work with the broader marketing and fundraising team to develop and deliver integrated campaigns promoting the charity’s mission and values.
Ø Support the Marketing team in creating press releases that effectively communicate with donors, supporters, and stakeholders.
Ø Keep up to date with content trends, consumer preferences, and advancements in technology to continually improve content strategies.
Collaboration and Communication
Ø Collaborate with design and content colleagues/teams over content optimisation, drawing on user intent research to inform content strategies.
Ø Maintain good working relationships with clients, affiliate networks, and partners to ensure successful campaigns and partnerships.

Charity Wide Responsibilities:
Ø Applying an attitude towards forgiveness and justice informed by biblical and Christian theological principles in dealing with all staff, volunteers, and clients.
Ø Recognising the holistic needs of all service users and in accordance with the Trust Deed affirm the spiritual needs of clients in their situations and either respond directly or refer as appropriate.
Ø As an expression of their Christian faith and commitment, it is hoped that all our employees are willing to be involved in the activities of the churches and organisations that support the work.
Ø Due to the nature of the role and the workplace, the post holder must be over 18 years of age.
Ø Attend training courses and conferences in order to maintain personal development as agreed with the Line Manager.
