St Anne’s Community Services is a charity that was formed in January 1971 providing shelter to the homeless. It has now developed into the entity it is providing a variety of diverse services with the clients at the heart of everything we do.
Oxfield Court is a nursing home and respite service which is a 28-bed service across 5 bungalows based in Huddersfield. This consists of 24 permanent residential beds and 4 respite beds.
We support clients with complex medical needs, behaviours that challenge and specialise in end-of-Life care for people with Learning Disabilities.
No day is ever the same and the clients always make working in our service enjoyable. The main duties of the role will include supporting clients to meet their individual needs including personal care and assistance attending leisure local activities.
All the care we deliver is person centred to the needs of the individual and we develop lasting relationships with families and external multi-disciplinary professionals, who we work closely with to deliver outstanding care.
The complex care we deliver means there is always nursing support available with high ratios of staff.
During the days we have 3 nurses and nursing management and at night we have a mixture of 2 nurses on waking nights or 1 waking nurse and 1 sleeping nurse.
We are now looking for an innovate hands on nurse (RGN RMN or RNLD) with an active pin to join our team. This is a full time post (37.5 hours) and would we want the nurse to work a combination of days and nights on a rota system.
This is an exciting time to be joining St Anne’s as we are rolling out a programme of on line platforms to enhance the experience of the clients and our staff teams.
