Do you want to make a real difference to people experiencing rough sleeping and homelessness?

Whether it’s due to homelessness or poor mental health, the number of people experiencing a crisis is on the rise. Connection Support believes in a future where people are free from crisis. But for the times when crises do happen, we’ll be there to help every step of the way.

Does this sound like something you want to be a part of?

We are currently recruiting for a Senior (RSI) Case Worker to join our dedicated Rough Sleeper Initiative team.

About the service

Our Rough Sleeper Initiative (RSI) service supports people who are sleeping rough, have recently moved into accommodation, or are at risk of returning to the streets. Through person-centred support, we help people sustain their accommodation, improve their wellbeing, and build the confidence and resilience needed to achieve long-term stability and independence.

The impact you will have

As a Senior RSI Case Worker, you will play a key role in supporting people who have experienced rough sleeping to build sustainable futures. Alongside managing a caseload of clients with complex needs, you will act as a senior practitioner within the team, providing guidance and support to colleagues, promoting best practice, and helping to ensure high-quality support is delivered across the service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting clients to secure, sustain and succeed in accommodation.
  • Leading on complex cases and coordinating multi-agency support to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Supporting clients to identify goals, overcome barriers and develop the skills needed for independent living.
  • Working closely with landlords, housing providers and partner agencies to prevent tenancy breakdown and repeat homelessness.
  • Providing mentoring, guidance and support to colleagues within the service.
  • Supporting service monitoring, quality assurance activities and reporting requirements.

Through your expertise, and commitment, you will help individuals move beyond homelessness, improve their wellbeing and achieve long-term independence.

Contract: Fixed term 30th June 2027 - This is a fixed-term role, with a strong likelihood of extension, subject to service needs and funding

Hours: 18.75 hours per week

Location: Supporting clients across Buckinghamshire. We have offices in Aylesbury and High Wycombe.

Salary: £28,541 - £30,367 pro rata per annum (please note salary shown is the full time equivalent)

Closing Date: Tuesday 3rd November

Introduction Call: Thursday 5th November

As part of our recruitment process, we invite selected candidates to a short introductory call. We believe this helps candidates better understand the role, ask questions and feel more prepared if invited to interview.

Interviews: Week commencing 9th November
