Join Amplius as a part-time Scheme Assistant and play a key role in supporting our older person’s housing schemes. You’ll be the friendly, visible face for residents, helping with enquiries, monitoring services, and ensuring homes are safe and well‑managed.
Salary: £13,288.60 (FTE £25,353.25) plus optional car allowance of £2,750.28 per year
Contract: Permanent, part time
Location: Based across 4 schemes in the Grimsby area (Lincolnshire). Travel between sites will be required.
Your week: 19 hours - Monday & Friday 5 hours, Tuesday Wednesday & Thursday 3 hours

Snapshot of your role
- Build positive relationships with Customers, providing a friendly and visible presence at older persons’ schemes and acting as a local point of contact.
- Regularly visit and inspect schemes, identifying and reporting maintenance, health and safety and management issues, and working with colleagues and contractors to resolve them.
- Carry out welfare checks by phone and in person, identifying safeguarding concerns and signposting or referring Customers to appropriate support.
- Complete essential compliance checks, including fire and smoke alarm testing, Lifeline equipment checks, water system flushing, estate inspections and meter readings, keeping accurate records.
- Support with tenancy and estate management activities, including anti-social behaviour, property viewings, sign-ups, access to schemes and helping new Customers settle in.
- Manage day-to-day scheme requirements such as keys and fobs, attend relevant meetings and training, and follow health and safety, confidentiality and data protection requirements.
What we’re looking for
- A good standard of literacy and numeracy, with a Level 3 QCF housing management qualification (or willingness to work towards this.)
- Experience of involving customers in shaping services, responding to their views and providing excellent customer care.
- An understanding of health and safety, housing, care and support needs of older people.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and deal professionally with a range of situations.
- Ability to work independently using your own initiative, while also working positively with colleagues and across teams.
- Confident using digital devices, ICT software and systems, with strong organisational skills and a flexible, proactive ‘can do’ approach.
Important – Enhanced DBS clearance, a full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are all essential requirements. We do not provide sponsorship.
