About The Role

We’re looking for caring, positive people to join our team and help us provide personalised care and support to residents and people who use our services. Working as part of a supportive team, you’ll deliver person‑centred care in line with individual care and support plans, helping people to live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, choice and inclusion.

You’ll support a diverse range of individuals, including older people, people with learning disabilities and autism, people with mental health needs and people with complex support needs. Services are delivered across supported housing schemes, extra care schemes and community‑based services.

This is a hands‑on role that requires flexibility. You’ll be expected to work evenings and weekends where required, undertake moving and handling duties, and may be required to participate in sleep‑in and on‑call rotas.

You’ll work across our schemes and services located in Freshwater, Ryde, Newport and the Bay area. A vehicle with business use insurance is required for this role.

We're looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable and committed to improve the quality of life for people with care needs.

You’ll bring:
• Communication skills: the ability to listen and communicate effectively with residents, colleagues and professionals
• Compassion and empathy: a caring, patient and respectful approach to supporting others
• Person-centred approach: the ability to promote independence, choice, inclusion and dignity
• Relationship building: confidence forming positive and professional relationships with residents and colleagues
• Problem-solving ability: the ability to remain calm in emergencies and respond professionally to challenging situations
• Adaptability: a flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to different environments and individual needs
• Teamwork: the ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining professional boundaries
• Technical skills: basic IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and reports
• Values and safeguarding: a commitment to equality, anti-discriminatory practice and safeguarding responsibilities
• Qualifications & development: willingness and ability to work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Care and complete the training required for the role

No previous experience is necessary — full training and support will be provided.

About the team
