Are you an experienced Night Security Concierge looking for a rewarding role in Cardiff?
We are seeking a reliable, vigilant, and compassionate Night Security Concierge to join our team, working within a local homeless hostel support service. In this vital role, you will provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for highly vulnerable adults and vulnerable children (families).

Key Responsibilities
As a Night Security Concierge, your daily duties will include:
- Safety & Security: Maintain a highly visible and professional security presence. Monitor CCTV systems, conduct regular patrols, and respond promptly to any security alarms or incidents.
- Access Control: Prevent unauthorized visitors from entering the premises to protect vulnerable adults and vulnerable children residing in the hostel.
- Incident Management & Logging: Confidently handle incident management and conflict resolution. De-escalate challenging situations with empathy and professionalism, and ensure all incidents are logged in the Daily Occurrence Log.
- Resident Support: Act as a supportive, compassionate, and welcoming first point of contact for residents during the night.
- ASB: Challenging anti-social behaviour
- Cleaning: Light cleaning duties, such as cleaning communal areas
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as our Night Security Concierge, you will need:
- Essential Check: An Enhanced DBS check (covering both vulnerable child and adult workforce) is required. (Candidates holding a valid SIA License may also be considered).
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a night security, night concierge, or support worker role (ideally working with vulnerable groups, homeless services, or mental health support).
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, Support, or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Key Skills: Exceptional customer service, strong communication, and robust conflict resolution/de-escalation skills.
- Mobility: A valid UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle is required.
- Soft Skills: A non-judgmental, empathetic approach to supporting people experiencing homelessness.
