Salary: £24,479 per annum (pro rata)
Are you passionate about making a difference in people’s lives? We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join a dedicated team providing safe, secure, and supported accommodation for people experiencing homelessness.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality, person-centred support tailored to individual needs and aspirations.
- Work as part of a team providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for people experiencing homelessness.
- Utilise case management systems to support, review, monitor, and evaluate progress and outcomes.
- Facilitate key work sessions, reviews, and meetings in line with individual support plans.
- Provide advocacy, advice, and practical support to help individuals meet the conditions of their occupancy agreements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external agencies to maximise opportunities and positive outcomes for the people supported.
- Support referrals, admissions, and transitions in accordance with service procedures.
- Maintain a safe environment and contribute to risk management and health and safety responsibilities.
- Promote independence and empower individuals to develop life skills and achieve their personal goals.
- Participate in professional learning, service development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills and Attributes:- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable people and making a positive difference.
- Ability to build trusting, empathetic, and empowering relationships.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to recognise and respect an individual’s right to choice, independence, and dignity.
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team and independently, including lone working.
- Competent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office or equivalent systems.
- Commitment to working in accordance with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Code of Practice and relevant care standards.
Desirable:- At least one year's experience supporting vulnerable people and managing challenging behaviour through personal, voluntary, or professional experience.
- Experience supporting people experiencing homelessness or individuals with complex support needs.
- Understanding of person-centred and trauma-informed approaches.
- SVQ Level 2 or above in Social Services and Healthcare.
Qualifications:Successful candidates will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within three months of their start date.
A willingness and ability to work towards and achieve an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare is essential. Full support and funding will be provided.
