Brighter Futures is recruiting Relief Support Workers to join our homelessness and support services across Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme.
This role is ideal for people looking to earn extra income around another job, university studies, caring responsibilities, retirement, or other commitments. As a relief worker, you choose whether to accept available shifts that fit around your availability.
What is a Relief Worker?
Our relief workers provide valuable cover across a range of services when additional staffing support is required. Shift opportunities are offered as they become available, giving you flexibility while making a real difference to vulnerable people in our community.
The Role
You may work across a variety of services including:
- Homeless accommodation and night shelters
- Rough Sleeper Outreach Services
- Homeless Hub services
- Women's support services
Duties may include:
- Supporting vulnerable adults with their wellbeing and daily living skills
- Providing a safe and welcoming environment
- Building management and security checks
- Supporting customers to access services and opportunities
- Completing records, reports and support documentation
- Working alongside partner agencies and support services
Shift Patterns Available
A variety of shifts are available including:
- Days
- Evenings
- Nights
- Weekends
Shift lengths and times vary depending on the service being covered.

A driving licence is desirable and required for some services.

Three Counties House, Festival Park, Stoke-on-Trent
Wednesday 18th June
3:00pm to 6:00pm
The event will include a group interview, individual interview and the opportunity to learn more about Brighter Futures and our services.

Pay: £12.95-£13.59 per hour
