Make a Real Difference in Mental Health Recovery
Are you passionate about supporting people to rediscover hope, purpose and independence? Do you believe recovery is possible for everyone?
As a Future Focus Recovery Worker (FFRW), you’ll play a vital role in transforming lives across Eastern Staffordshire. Working as part of the Eastern Staffordshire Future Focus Partnership, and alongside the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Integrated Neighbourhood Teams, you’ll provide compassionate, non-clinical support to people experiencing acute mental health challenges.
This is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to empower individuals to regain confidence, build resilience, and reconnect with their communities.
About the Role
You will manage a caseload of up to 30 participants (pro rata), offering flexible, recovery-focused support tailored to individual needs.
Your work will centre around:
- Co-producing personalised Recovery Plans
- One-to-one support (face-to-face, phone, and virtual)
- Facilitating group sessions
- Providing practical mental health self-help advice
- Making “warm introductions” to community services
- Encouraging independence and self-care
- Escalating concerns appropriately where risk is identified
You’ll help individuals work towards meaningful goals — supporting them to gain and retain hope, autonomy, social identity and purpose.
Beyond direct support, you’ll also contribute to building stronger, more inclusive communities by working collaboratively with local organisations and services.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partnering with Integrated Neighbourhood Teams to support people with acute mental health needs
- Actively listening and co-creating recovery goals
- Supporting access to social interventions that address wider determinants of mental health
- Delivering group sessions and one-to-one interventions
- Signposting and building trusted partnerships with healthcare providers, charities and community organisations
- Maintaining high-quality records and using digital systems such as RIO
- Participating in regular supervision and team learning
- Upholding safeguarding, data protection and professional standards
