Move On Support Team Leader (Homelessness)
As Move On Support Team Leader, you’ll lead a team of Move On Support Officers, ensuring consistent, person centred support for local people impacted by homelessness. You’ll follow their journey from first referral to a successful move on, building a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaborative partnership working to deliver outstanding outcomes and sustainable housing solutions.
Manage all referrals into the Move On Support service, ensuring timely triage, effective prioritisation, and smooth allocation to the team. Provide regular progress updates to commissioners, maintaining transparency, evidencing outcomes, and supporting strong partnership relationships.
Provide day-to-day leadership to your team of Move On Support Officers, ensuring assessments, risk plans, inductions, and person-centred move-on plans are completed to a high standard and in line with strengths-based and trauma-informed practice.
Oversee the quality and consistency of customer support plans, ensuring monthly reviews are completed and officers deliver effective move-on and tenancy sustainment support.
Lead on performance monitoring, working with internal teams to track KPIs, quality indicators, and outcomes linked to move-on success and tenancy sustainment.
Work collaboratively with key partners, including the local authority and other supported accommodation providers.
Maintain strong awareness of safeguarding procedures, ensuring concerns are identified, acted on, and reported in accordance with organisational and statutory requirements.
Contribute to operational resilience, including participation in the on-call rota to support 24/7 schemes.
A degree level qualification, or qualified by experience to an equivalent level
Experience in housing management.
CIH Member or willingness to work towards it.
Strong self-awareness, self-management skills and the ability to demonstrate professionalism at all times.
Strong business acumen and commercial awareness, excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills.
Experience of people management and HR processes.
Experience of supporting financial processes including expense and invoice processing
Supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
Experience of working on project delivery.
An inspirational leader who can empower, develop and coach others.
DBS check required.
Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle for work.
