Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week and is a permanent contract. Your working days will be Monday to Friday.
Location: Based at 100 Temple Street and option for working for home.
The Housing Options Service Is Recruiting To Pivotal Roles In Our Service. We Have Recently Redesigned And Invested In Our Service To:
- Increase our success in preventing homelessness.
- End our use of hotels and shared temporary accommodation for families.
- Improve move-on from Temporary Accommodation.
- Reduce our use of and spend on Temporary Accommodation.
Our daily working tool is the Housing Support Register (HSR). This is the system used for referring and moving homeless people into supported accommodation and floating support services. If you have not used this before, please don’t worry as full training and insight will be part of your induction. There are approximately 800 professionals using the HSR, including Bristol City Council’s Housing Advisors, and multiple services providing accommodation and support.
You will ensure the smooth running of the Housing Support Register, working with the HSR Co-ordinators and Administrator, and largely those 800 professionals using the system daily. You will monitor correct usage, applying excellent attention to detail, and identifying solutions. You will need to maintain and develop positive working relationships with a range of internal and external services. You will also develop and optimise policies and processes, in order to ensure effective practice, preparing recommendations for managers and commissioners. Training users will be a part of this, as will running reports and analysing data. We are in a period of transition to a new software provider, which means providing input and testing on how this will function, whilst also providing support to our users.
It must be stressed that, in this role, attention to detail and identifying solutions are key.
As an authority we offer a generous leave allowance of 25 days pro rata, pension and the option for flexible working.
You will be able to work from home, however we would like you spend some days in the office environment, certainly more days during your induction programme.
Please do read the job description and person specification attached, but most importantly do take time to look at our “Day in the life of a Senior Housing Support Register Co-ordinator”. The previous post holder has given a unique insight into their daily tasks.
