£14.66 per hour (waking hours) and £84.00 for a 7-hour sleep over shift.

We support up to 11 participants at a time to live within our therapeutic community, where we provide a supportive and safe space.
During the day, participants attend the NHS Lothian and Edinburgh Abstinence Project (LEAP). This is an intensive programme for those who want to stop drinking or using drugs. The programme is delivered over 12 weeks and participants attend a structured programme Monday to Friday.
In the evenings and on weekends we provide support, a friendly ear, and therapeutic activities to the community.
We are looking for casual workers who can cover occasional shifts when we have staff absence.
You’ll be:
- Supporting and encouraging participants in their recovery journey
- Working to ensure the community is a homely, welcoming and safe space
- Ensuring that all participants and peer workers have a space to feel heard and be able to contribute to decisions about the community
- Mainly lone working, but still part of the wider LEAP team
It may be a small team, but it has a big impact!
We are looking for someone who is great at building relationships with people and passionate about supporting others in their recovery journey.
You should also be:
- Able to maintain strong professional boundaries
- Knowledgeable or have lived experience of the issues that lead to or affect addiction
- An excellent communicator
- Confident working on your own
You’ll be joining an experienced and knowledgeable team who will give you full training on all aspects of your role. There will be great opportunities for you to learn and develop, while sharing your skills and experiences.
