Contract: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Location: Hammersmith & Fulham (multiple services)
Salary:
Support & Progression Officer (Day): £29,849.40 – £34,475 per annum
Night Supported Housing Assistant (Waking Night): £27,817.21 per annum
Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is recruiting for both Day and Waking Night roles across Hammersmith & Fulham.
We support over 16,000 young people each year with accommodation, health support and life skills to help them move into education, training and employment. Our ambition is to end youth homelessness by 2037.
The roles
Day roles
Work on a rota including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
Night roles
Provide waking night cover (9:30pm–9am) on a rota, including weekends.
What you’ll do

Support young people to achieve independence

Manage a caseload and complete needs/risk assessments

Work with social care, YOS, health and other agencies

Maintain high standards of accommodation

Support young people with budgeting and rent accounts
-
Make referrals for specialist and employment support
(Night roles also maintain safety and security overnight.)
About you
You will:

Be passionate about working with young people
-
Have experience in supported housing or similar settings
-
Be confident supporting a range of high to low support needs

Work well independently and as part of a team
-
Communicate effectively with internal and external partners

Have an interest in working with UASC

This is an Ofsted-regulated role. Successful applicants will be required to provide photo ID, complete an employment history (including gaps), provide references and undertake a DBS check.
