Job Description Key objectives of role:
This role is mainly to carry out the assembly of furniture and hanging door ready to go out. This includes, building up units, fixing frames, hanging door, fitting drawers and mechanisms and getting the jobs ready to leave the workshop.
To carry out and assist with all trade related tasks as a Bench Joiner working as part of a client focused, friendly and problem- solving team. Herringbone Kitchens ethos is to support local craftspeople, use sustainable materials and give a portion back to local homelessness charity. As a member of our team, we would expect you to support our ethos, work together across the business as a team and be included in marketing.

Main Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the effective and efficient making and/or fitting of kitchens, wardrobes, bathrooms, including all associated works using the required tools.
- To ensure that the work is undertaken in a timely manner, whilst maintaining a high standard of workmanship. Will be required to meet a timely target working as team.
- When client facing, to manage customer enquiries, responding in a professional, friendly and client focused manner coordinating with the Project Manager.
- The workshop treated as your own home. Ensure the workshop is kept tidy at the end of everyday.
- From time to time, if requested, to act as a mentor to trainees/apprentices to encourage and support their development. Additionally, to support other colleagues, by teaching and support when required.
- To undertake any other duties as required by Herringbone from time to time, if these duties are of a greater level of responsibility or skill that those required in the post, then full training and appropriate supervision will be provided.
- Work on own initiative to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently to ensure the right level of customer satisfaction is achieved.
- Take personal responsibility for own Health, Safety and Welfare and that of colleagues in the workplace. To adhere to all Health, Safety and Welfare policies.
- Take personal responsibility for seeking value for money opportunities and to get the project right the first time, with minimum snagging or mistakes.
- Take responsibility for all transport, equipment or any other device owned by Herringbone to ensure that they are kept in excellent condition and secure at all times.
Required skills include:
- Have joinery skills and experience to produce a high-quality product at all times.
- Deliver work on time and be flexible on prioritising work with specific deadlines
where the business requires.
- Experience or NVQ in bench joinery/ wood machining or equivalent.
- Experience in modern woodworking machinery and hand tools.
- Experience reading drawings, templates and written instructions
- Must have presentable appearance, wearing Herringbone Kitchens attire whenever
in the workshop and/or on site.
- Key Tasks

- Ensure that IT Security and Data Protection Legislation is adhered to at all times.

strive to seek continuous improvement whilst carrying out your day to day duties.
