Kingdom Support and Care (KSC) provide’s high quality support and care for over 300 individuals across Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Fife. We enable them to value themselves and others, overcome challenges and realise dreams.
We provide support and care for individuals who are affected by:
- Acquired brain injuries
- Age-related needs
- Alcohol and drug addictions
- Autism spectrum disorders
- Complex needs
- Multiple conditions which co-exist, interlock and overlap
- Homelessness
- Learning disabilities
- Mental health problems
While some of our work is accommodation-based, most of our activity takes place in the communities and homes of the individuals we work with.
About Positive Behaviour Support
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is an approach to supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex support needs. It is person-centered and provides a basis for understanding the messages conveyed by behaviours that challenge.
PBS is based on the understanding that behaviours that challenge are a communication from those individuals. The most effective ways to respond are to listen and make changes to their support and care.
PBS seeks to change cultures, develop more helpful environments, empower people and improve support.
About the role
As a Positive Behaviour Support Advisor, you will:
- Draw on a range of evidence to analyse and understand behaviours that challenge
- Devise and implement PBS plans
- Coach and mentor Support Workers to follow the plans and the best outcomes for the individuals they work with
- Collate and analyse data on the effectiveness of PBS plans
- Monitor and analyse trends on behaviours that challenge and recommend improvements
- Support our organisation to reduce restrictive practice
- Produce case studies and reports which capture learning and celebrate success
- Keep your knowledge up to date and learn from and share best practice
About you
We are looking for a highly motivated colleague who:
- Has a sound knowledge of PBS principles and practice
- Has experience of providing support to individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs who display behaviours that challenge
- Is educated to degree level in a relevant field
- Has experience of coaching, mentoring and training delivery
- Can demonstrate a commitment to human rights based approaches

Other requirements
- This post is subject to a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Disclosure check
- A current driving licence, business insurance and the use of a car for work purposes is essential
- Hold a relevant professional Qualification (Social Care / Positive behaviour / training related)
Interviews
Interviews will be held on Monday 22nd December 2025 in the Saltire centre Glenrothes.
