We are looking for 3 Non-Executive Directors to work with us launching and growing Goldfinch Property Homes CIC, which will sit alongside the established Goldfinch Property Investments, under the mother brand of Goldfinch Property. The vision of the organisation is to provide homes and access to support for people who are homeless and vulnerable, where multi-agency partnership is required for provision. Our focus for the next 5 years is families fleeing domestic abuse. The NEDs will oversee that we are acting according to the law and working effectively towards our vision by providing their sector specific knowledge, insight and input into strategy, playing the role of a critical friend and help with relationship building.
Responsibilities
We are looking for 3-4 NEDs with the following specific skill-sets to take on the following areas of oversight and insight:
1 - Accountancy, Audit, Risk management, Compliance with financial, legal & regulatory requirements of CICs.
2 - Strategy and growth: experience of working at a strategic level in or closely with not-for-profit or and public sector sector in relation to either housing, mental health, children
3 - Funding, PR, relationship-building
4 - Director of the board: displaying particularly strong leadership and teambuilding skills (could be one of the above also)
Qualifications & other notes
Previous of being a NED or trustee is not essential, training in Governance will be given.
3 year term, renewable.
Strong professional skill set, excellent communication skills.
Time commitment: Expectation of at least 8 hours per month.
Absolute passion for the cause of assisting individuals and families fleeing domestic abuse essential. Lived experience or close experience especially welcome.
