The Royal Foundation’s Homewards programme is seeking a highly experienced and deeply relational Community Partnerships Manager.
This new and exciting role will sit at the heart of the Homewards team and requires an energetic and creative relationship-builder to steward and drive partnerships with the charity and community sector, ensuring a gold-standard of relationship management and supporting the creation a range of long-lasting solutions to homelessness.
The ideal candidate will be adept at forging innovative partnerships with charities and other community organisations for social impact and skilled in effective relationship management, as well as up for the challenge of working with an unprecedented network of organisations to create long-lasting change and tangible solutions.

Job Purpose:
Homewards is a transformative five-year, locally led programme launched by Prince William and The Royal Foundation that aims demonstrate that together it’s possible to end homelessness – making it rare, brief and unrepeated. Our six flagship locations are committed to ending all forms of homelessness in their areas – and will be supported by Homewards to work towards that ambition.
Role description and core responsibilities
- Leading on delivering best-in-class stewardship of Sector Partners and Patronages, keeping them regularly updated and maximising opportunities for them to input their expertise into the ongoing development and delivery of the Homewards programme.
- Acting as the key relationship holder for the Homewards National Expert Panel, ensuring a gold-standard of ongoing stewardship of members and leading on the delivery of well-organised, engaging and impactful bi-annual meetings.
- Supporting the development of new partnerships within the wider community space [e.g. with universities, faith groups etc], identifying potential new partnerships, engaging and onboarding new partners, and ensuring effective ongoing stewardship.
- Supporting in the design and delivery of a series of national strategic initiatives with community organisations to support the Homewards locations in their mission and help to shift the dial on homelessness in the UK – and beyond.
- Working closely with research colleagues to engage partners in the delivery of key elements of the Homewards learning offer to ensure the Homewards locations have access to best-in-class expertise from across the Homewards ecosystem.
- Working closely with partnerships colleagues across the Homewards Team and the wider Royal Foundation to ensure effective coordination across different elements and levels of partnerships, where a number of relationships are held.
- Supporting on the day-to-day management of the Homewards Fund, working closely with the Fund’s management and delivery partner on the efficient and effective delivery of funding to partners in the Homewards locations.
- Helping to determine Homewards engagement with national and international conferences, forums and networks, to ensure that the programme is engaging in the most impactful way.
Relevant knowledge, experience and personal qualities
Knowledge & Experience:
- Strong interpersonal skills to initiate, engage with and build strong and impactful relationships with a range of external stakeholders (essential).
- Demonstrable experience of managing complex and wide-ranging consortiums/ecosystems of partners and stakeholders (essential).
- Strong understanding of, and experience with, working in or with the charity and community sector (essential), ideally in or around the homelessness space (desirable).
- Strong project management experience with a proven track-record of working collaboratively in a team to deliver projects or programmes of work with demonstrable impact (essential).
- Ability to navigate complex topics relating to homelessness and housing, or transferrable experience and appetite to learn more (desirable).
- Strong verbal and written communications skills and experience of presenting in front of high-profile individuals and teams, including C-suite executives (desirable).
- Previous experience in, or understanding of, grant funding (desirable).
- Confident in using Microsoft Office and Salesforce (essential).

The Royal Foundation is a high-profile organisation, and the successful candidate will appreciate the importance of discretion and confidentiality and have a mature and professional approach.
The role will be based in our central London office, with some flexibility to work from home subject to line manager approval. You may also be required to travel within the UK, and potentially internationally, as part of this role.
