Our UR4Driving project helps ex-offenders and those at risk to gain driving skills, improve job opportunities, and reduce re-offending rates.

Your Role
As a Project Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in delivering the UR4Driving project, supporting participants and managing essential tasks. You will:
- Help service users stay engaged in the programme, including theory test prep and driving lessons.
- Track attendance, progress, and maintain records.
- Book tests and manage related paperwork.
- Support users in finding volunteer roles, short courses, or training opportunities.
- Work with team members and partners to tackle employment barriers.
- Keep financial records, such as travel reimbursements, up-to-date.
- Lead small group sessions for theory test prep.
- Review and track participant progress during and after the programme.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone motivated to make a difference with the following:
- Essential Skills:
- Experience supporting vulnerable groups, like ex-offenders.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of UK driving licence rules (preferred), and having a valid driving licence with experience of driving may be advantageous.
- Desirable Skills:
- Experience arranging volunteer/work placements.
- Familiarity with laws on offender rehabilitation.
- A qualification in Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) is a plus.
- Personal Qualities:
- A positive, proactive attitude to problem-solving.
- Empathy and the ability to build trust while staying professional.
- A commitment to equality and continuous learning.

- Hours: 28 hours per week (flexible, with occasional evening or weekend events).
- Location: Hammersmith, West London, with the flexibility to extend services to other locations across London as needed.
- Progression: Opportunities to advance to Senior Support Worker/Coordinator within 2 years (dependent on funding).
- Requirements
- A DBS check is mandatory for this role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential.

Responsible To: Project Manager- UR4 Driving
Responsible For: Volunteers and students of the project
Contractual Hours: 28 hours per week (between Monday to Friday)
Contract: Permanent
Salary Level (Per Annum): £13.85 per hour
Annual Leave Entitlement: 25 days pro rata (Public Holidays excluded)
