Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them thrive? YMCA Brunel Group is looking for an enthusiastic Youth Worker to join our team in Coleford, Somerset.

What We Do
Our work touches many lives:
- Housing: We provide homes and holistic support to over 700 individuals each year, including those at risk of homelessness, facing financial hardship, or needing high support levels.
- Health & Wellbeing: Our centre in Bath offers a fully-equipped gym, functional fitness areas, and a diverse class program.
- Youth Clubs: We run 12 youth clubs for ages 10-19, including groups for young carers, offering safe spaces to connect, learn, and grow.
- Nurseries: With eight nurseries across the region, we provide high-quality early education to 360 children, supporting their journey into school and beyond.
- Commercial Hostels: Our hostels in Bath and Bristol support our work while also covering essential operational costs.
Role Overview
As a Youth Worker, you’ll provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for young people aged 10-19 in our Yeovil youth club. You’ll design, deliver, and evaluate informal learning opportunities that encourage growth, social connection, and positive experiences.
Qualifications & Experience
A Level 2 qualification in youth work or equivalent experience in youth engagement.
Location: Coleford, Somerset
Hours: 3 hours per week
Schedule: Thursdays 18:00 – 21:00
Contract: Fixed until March 31, 2027 (potential extension based on funding)
Rate of Pay: £12.88 per hour
