1625 Independent People are recruiting for a Weekend Housing Worker to join their team in Yate on a part-time basis.
Salary: £27,709 – £29,071 per year pro rata
Hours: 18.4 hours per week, weekends
Location: Yate, South Gloucestershire
About the Role:
The Weekend Housing Worker will provide housing support and a safe, supervised environment for young people living in supported accommodation in Yate over the weekend. You will support residents with their day-to-day needs, respond to any issues that arise and ensure the smooth running of the accommodation at weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide housing support and supervision to young people in supported accommodation at weekends
- Respond to resident queries, incidents and emergencies
- Carry out property checks and report any maintenance issues
- Complete accurate records, logs and handover notes
- Support residents with day-to-day living skills and housing-related tasks
- Work collaboratively with the weekday team and other professionals
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures
About You:
- Experience of working with young people or vulnerable adults in a housing or support setting
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability and commitment to weekend working
- An understanding of the needs of young people experiencing homelessness or housing instability
1625 Independent People is a Bristol-based charity working with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
