Since 1968, Park Lodge Project has been a lifeline for young people in Leicester. What started as one house for care leavers has grown into a vital charity supporting 95 vulnerable young individuals. We are looking for a Resettlement Mentor and Coach to help our residents (aged 18–25) turn the dream of independent living into a reality.
The Role: From Support to Sustainability
Based out of our central Hub and visiting our cluster homes across Leicester, you will be the bridge between supported housing and a permanent home. You will work with young people in our Tier 2 & 3 semi-independent units, giving them the tools to navigate adulthood.
Your Impact:
Life Skills Coaching: Delivering our "Managing Your Own Home" (MYOH) programme—teaching everything from cooking and cleaning to self-advocacy.
Financial Empowerment: Guiding residents through the complexities of Housing Benefit, service charges, budgeting, and debt management.
The Transition: Supporting the "Move-On" process, including housing applications, bidding, and even accompanied viewings.
The Essentials: Conduct health and safety checks, update risk assessments, and ensure all properties meet our high standards of safety and care.
Collaboration: Partnering with colleges, Youth Offending Teams, and health services to provide a holistic support network.
The Package
Salary: £27,189.82 (rising to £27,989.82 after successful probation).
Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
Location: Leicester (Hub-based with travel to outer homes).

Who You Are

Experienced: You have a background working with care leavers or people with complex needs.
Resilient: You are emotionally robust and able to maintain professional boundaries while handling challenging situations.
Tech-Savvy: You can maintain accurate digital case files and professional reports (experience with Microsoft/Inform systems is a plus).
Mobile: You are comfortable travelling between properties in Leicester (Full driving licence is necessary).
Reliable: You understand that consistency is the foundation of trust for our young people.
