1625 Independent People are recruiting for a Supported Housing Officer to join their team in Bristol.
Salary: £31,537 – £33,143 per year
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full-time
Location: Bristol
About the Role:
The Supported Housing Officer will manage a caseload of young people aged 16-25 living in supported accommodation, providing housing management support and working to sustain their tenancies. You will work alongside support workers and other professionals to help young people achieve positive housing outcomes and move towards independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of young people in supported housing, providing tenancy and housing management support
- Assist young people with benefit claims, rent arrears and housing-related issues
- Conduct property inspections and void management
- Work collaboratively with support workers, commissioners and external agencies
- Ensure compliance with housing legislation and organisational policies
- Maintain accurate case records and contribute to performance reporting
- Support the move-on process for young people transitioning to independent living
About You:
- Experience in housing management or supported housing
- Knowledge of housing law, welfare benefits and tenancy sustainment
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a busy caseload
- Good communication skills and ability to build effective relationships
- A commitment to working with young people in a strengths-based, trauma-informed way
