Role: Support Worker
Location of role: Birkdale (Margaret Roper House – North Pathway).
Your primary base will be Margaret Roper House; however, you may also be required to work at Wadham Road and Ainsdale Community
Role Description:
We are looking for committed and experienced Support Workers to join our team, with opportunities available for both day shifts and waking nights. If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference in people’s lives, this role is for you.
As a Support Worker, you will help create a warm, inclusive environment that promotes dignity and independence. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering personalised daily activities for residents.
- Providing emotional and practical support to empower individuals on their journey toward independent living.
Margaret Roper House in Southport offers a welcoming, home-like setting for adults living with ongoing mental and physical health challenges. As part of Nugent a values-driven organisation dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care, you will play an essential role in supporting vulnerable adults with long-term mental health needs
Experience and skills of a Support Worker:
- Effective communication and organisational skills.
- A valid driving licence (desirable) to operate the home’s transport.
- Experience working with vulnerable adults.
- Commitment to completing the Care Certificate within 12 weeks.
- Compassion, empathy, reliability, and dedication to ongoing training.
- Ability to work on a rolling rota, including weekends.

Hours of Work
- Part-time: 19.5 hours per week
- Full-time: 39 hours per week
