Service Coordinator / 4427
Part-time, Permanent role
£21,038 per annum pro rata
Turn your passion for people and communities into meaningful change. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Lived Experience Service Coordinator for 30 hours per week, to lead the social inclusion element of our Futures Together service across South and West Essex.
Futures Together brings together the expertise of two established Essex Phoenix Futures teams: Criminal Justice and Social Inclusion. You’ll join a collaborative service that creates practical support, connection and opportunities for people across Essex.
In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll help people recognise their strengths and move towards their education, training and employment goals. You’ll design and deliver engaging workshops; create inclusive learning opportunities and see the difference your work makes.
You’ll build strong relationships with training and employment providers across Essex, opening doors to new and meaningful opportunities shaped by regular conversations and scoping exercises with the people who use our services.
You’ll also develop a responsive programme of supportive groups for services including Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, carers and families, and people experiencing active addiction.
This is a 30-hour-per-week role with the autonomy to shape your work, build community connections and make a lasting difference. We’re looking for someone motivated, community-focused and genuinely committed to social inclusion and supporting others.
Ready to bring your ideas, energy and experience to a role with real purpose? Apply to join our team. If you’d like to learn more about the service or the role first, call us on 01376 316126 for an informal conversation.
What You’ll Do
- Support and develop peer mentors and volunteers, while leading recovery- and wellbeing-focused activities across an allocated area of Essex.
- Build and maintain strong community partnerships that promote and embed the Futures Together service.
- Work closely with the Criminal Justice team to support people with complex and multiple needs.
- Create, deliver and continually improve recovery and social inclusion groups across South and West Essex.
- Keep accurate client information and records, including maintaining the service database.
- Thrive in a fast-paced service, adapting confidently when plans change at short notice.
What You’ll Receive
- A starting salary of £21,038 per annum, pro rata, with the opportunity for annual salary increments subject to appraisal.
- 25 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays, pro rata, increasing each year up to 30 days.
- A season ticket loan, pension scheme and life assurance.
- Occupational sick pay, eye-care vouchers, and regular wellbeing talks and activities.
- Continuous learning and career development through PXL, our dedicated learning management system.
- 24/7 telephone and online support through our Employee Assistance Programme.
- A purposeful role where you can support people on their recovery journey and help change lives for the better.
- A welcoming, collaborative team and the support you need to thrive and succeed.
