Phoenix Futures Jobs | 17 Live Vacancies
Housing & Homelessness
📍 Multiple locations, UK-wide
Phoenix Futures is a long-established national charity, with over 50 years of history, that describes itself as the UK's only organisation that is both a substance misuse treatment charity and a registered housing association. That combination shapes everything it does: rather than treating addiction recovery and housing as separate problems, Phoenix Futures builds services where stable accommodation is part of the recovery journey itself.
What Phoenix Futures does
The charity runs residential rehabilitation programmes, community-based drug and alcohol treatment, specialist supported housing for people at different stages of recovery, and services delivered inside prisons. It also runs specialist family services, including an Ofsted-rated onsite nursery attached to one of its residential family programmes in Sheffield. As a registered social housing provider, Phoenix Futures directly manages supported housing stock and employs dedicated housing support staff alongside its clinical and psychosocial teams.
Where it operates and who it supports
Phoenix Futures operates services across many parts of the UK, including Tyneside, Sheffield, Essex, Norfolk & Suffolk, Derbyshire, Oxfordshire, London, Scotland and the North West. The people it supports include individuals and families affected by drug and alcohol dependency, people navigating the criminal justice system, and people who need stable, supported housing to sustain their recovery.
Typical roles
- Housing Worker / Housing Support Worker
- Dependency and Recovery Worker / Substance Use Recovery Worker
- Team Manager / Service Manager
- Sessional Worker (residential rehabilitation support)
Phoenix Futures describes wanting staff who are passionate about recovery, rather than requiring a specific professional background; many roles explicitly welcome candidates without prior experience in housing or substance use. It is a registered charity in England, Wales and Scotland, and a Registered Provider of Social Housing with Homes England.
