Make Care Matter - Helping us make a difference to those in need.

Do you have a passion for supporting and caring for others? Would you like to work as part of our Senior Management Team.

If the answer is yes, we have a great opportunity for you to join our friendly and supportive team at Station View in Harrogate. You may be looking for that next step in your career or currently working in a similar role.

Station View is a busy service which has different units, these include our short breaks unit, dementia unit, assessment unit, rehabilitation unit and step up step down beds.

As a Senior care and support worker, you will work in ways which are consistent with the key aims of maintaining dignity and respecting human rights, as well as maximising the independence and potential of individual people to lead rich and fulfilling lives.  The nature of the environment requires you to plan and organise, as well as respond to change.

You will work in a way which recognises the abilities and talents of individual people and enable their social, spiritual, recreational, educational and entertainment needs to be met.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of the shift and for the overall health and safety of the residents and staff while on duty. Duties include administration of medication, arranging GP and nurse visits, handling queries and delegation of tasks within the staff group. Supporting residents with personal care, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records and supervising a small staff team will also be key parts of the role.

This is a great opportunity if you are looking for career development and the next step.  If you do not already hold the Level 3 Diploma in Social Care, all we ask is for your commitment to study the qualification with full support and training from us to help you to develop. Due to the requirements of the role, a Level 2 Diploma in Social Care is required as a minimum for this role.

Due to the nature of the service, flexibility is also important to enhance the team's ability to deliver care as required.

In addition to the great training and development opportunities, we offer:

• Starting salary dependent on experience and qualifications
• Competitive rate of pay with pay progression

• Enhancements for weekend / night working

• Career development

• A chance to build valuable professional relationships with families and other sector professionals
• Extensive induction with ongoing support throughout your employment
• Access to a wide range of resources to enhance your learning, knowledge and skills
• Generous holiday entitlement, increasing by length of service
• Variety of competitive benefits including career average pension scheme with excellent benefits
