About the Role
GIPSIL is looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Operative to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you will support the upkeep, repair, and refurbishment of our property portfolio, helping us provide safe, high-quality homes for our tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver day-to-day reactive and cyclical maintenance across GIPSIL properties
- Refurbish empty homes to meet Design and Quality standards as directed by the Project Co‑ordinator
- Support the team in bringing leased properties up to Decent Homes standards
- Carry out a wide range of general property maintenance tasks, including:
- Basic joinery
- Plastering
- Decorating
- Plumbing
- Wall tiling
- Bricklaying
- Follow work schedules and deadlines, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently
- Contribute to building and refurbishment projects in line with agreed specifications
- Collect materials and equipment as required and oversee deliveries to site
- Represent GIPSIL in a professional, courteous manner at all times
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in general maintenance or property refurbishment
- Possesses a multi-skilled trade background
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Is organised and able to work to deadlines and schedules
- Has a strong commitment to quality and customer service
- Holds a full UK driving licence
