Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Senior Maintenance Worker to join our team, working to ensure an effective and responsive maintenance service at our Bath Hostel.
Duties and Responsibilities
We welcome applicants who are enthusiastic about maintaining high standards of work and providing exceptional service to our clients.
- To carry out proactive and reactive repairs and maintenance
- To identify day-to-day requirements and provide immediate solutions
- To undertake all duties within specified time scales
- Carry out basic ground maintenance and maintain garden existing garden areas
- Determine materials, equipment and supplies required to undertake maintenance tasks, whilst managing time and travel effectively
- Ensure all buildings and external areas are clean, safe and secure
- Effectively manage Health & Safety concerns in own works area, as well as all others
- To carry out all works in accordance with YMCA Brunel Group policies and procedures, including risk assessments
- To work alongside young people assisting with any accommodation repairs together with helping them learn simple DIY skills for their independent living
Scope and Limits of Authority
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of their own work tasks, ensuring the tasks are prioritised appropriately and that all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
Location: Bath
Hours: 37.5 hours/Week Monday to Friday
Salary: £27,183.00
