About the role

As a  Housing Support Worker, you’ll help residents settle into a safe, supported home and take practical steps towards independence. You’ll key-work a caseload, building support plans around each person’s goals – whether that’s sustaining their tenancy, improving their health, developing everyday living skills like budgeting and cooking, or moving on to their next home. You’ll offer advice on welfare, housing and benefit rights, help residents access the health and specialist support they need, and make sure our buildings stay safe, secure and well looked after. It’s practical, hands-on work, built on warm, trusting relationships with the people you support.

In this role, we’re looking for someone who is patient, polite and calm under pressure, with the confidence to support people through difficult moments as well as good days. You’ll need to be able to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays as part of a shared rota. We are happy to consider applicants without experience in this field who can demonstrate empathy, self-motivation and enthusiasm for supporting people affected by homelessness. A qualification in Health & Social Care, Housing or Information, Advice & Guidance would be an advantage, but is not required.

Date of Interviews will be the 6th October 2026
