Description: St Mary's Church runs a warm, safe, drop-in cafe on Thursdays, works with the local food bank, hosts musical events, offers pastoral visiting and support, and works in partnership with the wider community on environmental, social and interfaith activities. They also visit care homes, hold school visits, work with bereavement, elderly, disability and faith groups and Todmorden in Bloom and other churches.
Role:
Set up crockery and cutlery etc for community lunch and clear away, (un)load dishwasher.
To serve refreshment and sometimes table service. Enable community members to share a nutritious warm drink/meal together.

St Mary’s is looking for someone who's able to:
communicate remotely via phone/email,
help between 1-4 x per month (Tuesdays/Thursdays, for around 3 hours),
shop for agreed items and claim for expenses upon receipt, open up St Mary’s for events,
welcome and greet volunteers and families on arrival, and lock/close up safely.
St Mary’s will provide support via an induction, training (safeguarding, online or in person), regular check-ins, and meetings.
