This role will lead on phase 2 of the Data for Housing Justice project which is a collaboration with our partners at Digital Commons Cooperative.
The project will explore how to build useful software in collaboration with social movements. It will particularly focus on working in depth with a small number of housing justice groups to understand their data needs - and to use the insights to improve the capacity of our tool landexplorer.coop to meet those needs. The project will also convene a peer learning journey with a number of housing justice groups to understand the opportunities and blockers relating to data sharing and governance and co-create resources for other groups on this.
We are looking for someone with both an aptitude for and understanding of data and its potential for social change, and with community organising and activism skills. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about shaping the project and taking a leadership role within the project team.
The role will sit within the movement building function at Shared Assets. As part of a self managing organisation all team members are expected to contribute to the day to day management of the organisation through participation in management circles, team days and working groups.
