About the Role
This is a new role which will bring the corporate business development team to four members. The post holder will be responsible for securing new partnerships with a focus on those worth £100k-£1m. This will support the team’s target of raising £600k in 2024/5, and securing £750k of new partnerships to deliver in 25/6.
The Corporate Development Manager will be responsible for securing new partnerships worth £100k-£1m. You will manage a pipeline of prospects, working on both warm and cold new business acquisition: developing proposals, on-boarding new partnerships and transitioning accounts to the Partnership Management team.
This role will lead on the development of a new corporate advisory programme, and other project work to improve team performance. In addition, the post holder will support the Senior Business Development Manager on proposals for new partnerships worth £1m+, and with planning, budgeting and internal reporting.
The ideal candidate will have experience of creating high value, strategic corporate partnerships; cold new business acquisition; and liaising with internal stakeholders to create ambitious partnership proposals.
What you’ll be doing
- Cultivating and stewarding relationships with both warm and cold prospects to expand Centrepoint’s supporter base
- Creating bold and innovative partnership proposals that align with Centrepoint’s mission and goals
- Leading the development of Centrepoint’s Corporate Advisory Programme, engaging key corporate partners
- Collaborating with the partnership management team to successfully onboard new partners and ensure a smooth transition
- Maintaining accurate prospect records on Raiser’s Edge, keeping the pipeline up to date and well-organized
- Conducting thorough due diligence checks on all new prospects to ensure compliance and alignment
- Supporting the development of partnership proposals ranging from £10k to £100k to help meet fundraising targets
- Planning and delivering cultivation activities to deepen engagement with prospects
- Assisting in the execution of Sleep Out events, one of Centrepoint’s major fundraising efforts
About you
- Knowledge of corporate fundraising arena including trends and challenges
- Demonstrable experience of securing high value multiyear partners or developing existing accounts in a fundraising environment
- Demonstrable experience of writing and delivering successful proposals and pitches to a range of audiences and stakeholders
- Good/accurate financial and performance reporting
- Experience of negotiating with external parties to achieve a goal
- Experience of prioritising and managing a multi-disciplinary workload effectively and working to agreed deadlines
- Experience of working and communicating effectively within a team
