Job Overview
700 Club, a homelessness charity based in Darlington, is currently seeking experienced Weekend Workers to join our team within our supported accommodation services.
This role is key to ensuring the safety, security, and wellbeing of residents, alongside delivering effective housing management and maintaining a positive living environment.
The position involves lone working, so candidates must be confident, reliable, and experienced in supporting individuals with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out and accurately record health and safety, security, and building checks
- Monitor the CCTV and door entry system to maintain building security
- Maintain accurate administrative records and contact logs throughout shifts
- Respond to and manage incidents of nuisance and anti-social behaviour
- Support residents to understand and adhere to their tenancy agreements
- Ensure the property, furnishings, and equipment are maintained to a high standard, reporting any repairs or damage
- Undertake cleaning duties to maintain communal areas
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks where appropriate
- Identify when residents require urgent professional support and liaise with relevant services
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have previous experience supporting vulnerable individuals with complex needs
- Have experience of lone working
- Are calm, proactive, and able to manage challenging situations confidently
- Possess strong communication and organisational skills
- Are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
