We’re looking for two Neighbourhood Officers (Regeneration) to join an exciting new team that will play a key role in supporting communities through one of the most significant regeneration programmes in Wythenshawe.
These are brand‑new roles focused on delivering intensive housing management, tenancy support and customer engagement services in neighbourhoods undergoing regeneration and redevelopment. If you enjoy building strong relationships, supporting customers through change and making a visible difference in local communities, we'd love to hear from you.
About the role
As a Neighbourhood Officer (Regeneration), you'll be a highly visible presence within regeneration areas, working directly with residents affected by redevelopment and rehousing activity. You'll act as a key point of contact, helping customers navigate change, access support and move successfully into new homes.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines tenancy management, estate management, customer support and community engagement, with a strong focus on tenancy sustainment and customer wellbeing.
What you'll be doing
- Acting as the main point of contact for residents affected by regeneration activity, providing practical support and helping them navigate the rehousing process.
- Delivering tenancy and estate management services, including managing tenancy enquiries, casework and low‑level anti‑social behaviour.
- Supporting residents to find and move into suitable homes, including housing applications, property searches, viewings and move coordination.
- Developing personalised support plans and helping customers access additional services where needed.
- Carrying out neighbourhood inspections, identifying issues and working with partners to maintain safe, well‑managed communities.
- Promoting safeguarding, identifying vulnerability and coordinating support to help sustain positive outcomes for residents.
What we're looking for
- Experience delivering tenancy management, estate management, allocations or housing services.
- Strong understanding of housing management, tenancy‑related legislation and landlord responsibilities.
- Experience managing customer casework and supporting people through complex or challenging situations.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills, with a strong customer‑focused approach.
- Understanding of safeguarding and experience working with vulnerable customers.
- Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and case information
- Desirable: Housing‑related qualification, regeneration or rehousing experience, and a full UK driving licence.
Additional Information
- A basic DBS check is required.
- Occasional evening and flexible working may be required to support customers and regeneration activity.
Why this role matters
These roles sit at the heart of our regeneration programme. You'll help residents through what can be one of the biggest changes in their lives, ensuring they feel informed, supported and empowered throughout the process.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new team, help shape how regeneration services are delivered and make a lasting impact on customers and communities across Wythenshawe.
If you're passionate about housing, communities and delivering outstanding customer support, we'd love to hear from you.
