What will you be doing? Reporting to the Chair, the Treasurer will oversee the charity's financial stability and growth, working closely with the Executive Director to review budget, management accounts, and annual statutory accounts in conjunction with the independent auditors. They will also be responsible for pulling together digestible financial updates to the Board of Trustees ensuring we are compliant with our reserves policy.Each member of our ten-strong board is part of one of three key subcommittees. The Treasurer will help drive financial growth as part of the Finance Working Group to support the charity in developing its offering to meet the growing demand within the local community.Our board is a friendly and passionate group of individuals who care deeply about our work and we look forward to welcoming a new member! What are we looking for?We are looking for a Trustee with an accountancy qualification who has a passion for the arts, inclusivity, and supporting children and young people.Ideally you will live or work in Islington, but this is not essential. You are not expected to have previous experience on a Board, nor have any specific qualifications beyond accountancy.This appointment is an opportunity to have a positive and lasting impact on a growing charity that is really making a difference for children and young people in the Islington community and beyond.We are keen to receive applications from those who share the lived experience of the children and young people we work with, and we are more than happy to explore adjustments to how this role is carried out, in order to remove any potential barriers to applicants.
