We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domestic Abuse Caseworker to join our team. Elmore is a charity supporting people with mental health, homelessness, substance abuse, and domestic abuse. Responsibilities
- Offer emotional support and practical advice to victims of domestic abuse, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Develop personalised safety plans and support clients through crisis situations.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies such as police, social services, and legal professionals to coordinate support.
- Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and ongoing training programmes to enhance service delivery.
Experience
- Previous experience working with individuals affected by domestic abuse or in a social care setting is desirable.
- Experience working with children is advantageous, as the role involves supporting families with young dependents.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically and convey information clearly.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation relating to domestic abuse is preferred but not essential.
