Young People’s Complex Needs Worker – Homelessness Prevention & Resolution
Salary: £24,454.04 per annum (pro rata for part-time hours)
Hours: 1 x 37 hours per week and 1 x 30 hours per week
We are seeking two passionate and motivated Young People’s Complex Needs Workers to provide information, advice and targeted interventions to young people aged 16–24 who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or need support to sustain their accommodation.
Based at The Zone and working across homes, community settings and partner agencies throughout Plymouth, you'll build trusted relationships with young people, providing practical support, advocacy and tailored interventions that help them achieve positive, lasting outcomes.
We are looking for candidates with a positive, proactive approach who can demonstrate experience of building effective relationships with young people facing homelessness, housing instability or multiple disadvantages.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively with young people, colleagues and partner agencies across Plymouth’s wider complex needs system.
You will be an effective problem solver, capable of working on your own initiative and committed to helping young people feel safe, valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
The successful candidates will be flexible, adaptable and experienced in delivering young person-centred support across a range of settings, using strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches.
