Contract: Full-Time (37.5hrs per week rolling rota), Permanent
Salary: £25,585 to £30,303 per annum dependent on experience

Bradford Foyer provides semi-independent supported accommodation for young people aged 18 – 25 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Our service is focused on supporting young people to develop the skills, confidence and resilience needed to live independently and sustain a tenancy. Working as part of a wider partnership, we support young people into education, employment, and training (EET), while promoting positive wellbeing, independence, and long-term stability.
The Role
We are looking for moderate and resilient Support and Progression Officer's to join our team. You will play a key role assisting young people to achieve positive outcomes, maintain their tenancy, and move towards independent living.
This is a dynamic role requiring strong relationship – building skills, safeguarding awareness, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced supported housing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of young people delivering person – centred support tailored to individual needs.
- Develop and regularly review support plans and Home stars, ensuring compliance with service standards.
- Support young people to engage in education, employment, and training (EET) Opportunities.
- Promote independent living skills including budgeting, cooking, tenancy management, and personal wellbeing.
- Complete risk assessments (RAMPs) and maintain accurate, up to date records in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
- Safeguard young people by identifying risks and responding appropriately in line with procedures.
- Working Collaboratively with internal teams and external professionals ( e.g. social workers, housing providers, health services)
- Contribute to the health and safety of the service, including checks and incident reporting.
- Facilitate and encourage participation in group activities and community engagement.
About You
- We are looking for someone who is:-
- Experienced in working with young people or vulnerable adults (supported housing desirable)
- Knowledgeable of safeguarding, risk management, and professional boundaries.
- A strong communicator with the ability to build positive and professional relationships.
- Organised and confident in maintaining accurate records and compliance standards.
- Able to work flexibly, including weekends and shift patterns.
- Empathetic, resilient, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for young people.
- Familiar with supported housing / Ofsted framework(desirable)
What you will be doing
- Delivering structured key working sessions to support progression goals
- Supporting young people to sustain their accommodation and reduce risks of eviction.
- Encouraging engagement with Life skills via the life wise programme
- Monitoring and reviewing progress against support plans and KPI’s.
- Responding to incidents and supporting young people during times of crisis
- Promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment
