Outreach Worker
Sandown, Isle of Wight
£12.71 an hour
Working a mix of shift between 7am to 11pm, will include working weekends and bank holidays.

In this role you will be engaging with individuals who may have a history of disengaging with support services, using a variety of techniques and approaches to build a relationship and develop a support plan. You will love to support others, and help them to progress and achieve their goals. You will have a positive and flexible attitude towards work and will help to contribute towards a great working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of clients, working with them on a one to one basis
- Assess client needs and build support plans
- Respond appropriately to challenging behaviour
- Adopt a psychological informed approach to supporting clients, helping them to improve their practical skills in areas such as budgeting, shopping and cooking
- Work with external partners (such as health, inclusion and housing services to maximise the opportunities available to clients so that they can resettle in the community
- Maintain client records using relevant systems to a good standard
- Attend supervision, appraisal, training and meetings
Key skills/experience:
- Clear verbal and written English
- In date Adult & Child Enhanced DBS is desirable
- Good IT skills
- Self-motivated
- Knowledge of the benefit system
- Have an interest and genuine concern for homelessness and related issues
- Full Drivers’ license and own transport is essential
