About the Role
We are recruiting a Case Worker to join our Homes for Ukraine wraparound support service. The role supports Ukrainians living in the community to access services, build independence, and improve wellbeing.
The Impact You Will Have
You will support people to access and navigate community services, helping them feel settled, supported and connected to their local community.
You will provide practical information, advice and support, work closely with local support groups, signpost to specialist services when needed, and help organise community activities, ensuring support is responsive and person-centred.
Contract Details
- Contract: 1-year fixed-term contract, with the likelihood of extension
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday. Flexibility required to support community events, which may include weekends
- Location: Main office base Wolvercote, supporting clients across Oxfordshire
- Salary: £25,666–£27,981 per annum (dependent on experience)
- Closing date: Friday 27th February
- Interviews: Introductory calls will be held as suitable candidates apply. Interviews will be held on Friday 6th March.
About You
You are compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting people to move forward. You are a good listener who takes time to understand others’ needs and works in a person-centred way.
Essential Experience or Knowledge
- Experience working with vulnerable people (for example, people at risk of homelessness, experiencing mental or physical health challenges, domestic abuse, or displacement)
- We also welcome lived experience as a migrant or refugee (or as a family member of one)
- Understanding of housing and welfare benefits systems
- Ability to speak Ukrainian
- Experience supporting people to access community services
- Good record-keeping skills
Other Requirements
- Based at Wolvercote, with travel across Oxfordshire to support people in the community
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
