Prospect Place and Southernwood are Tyne Housing Association’s new, exemplar housing schemes for vulnerable adults. Developed in conjunction with Gateshead Council, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and Homes England, the two schemes are designed to put into practice everything that Tyne has learnt over the course of over 50 years of working with some of the most excluded and marginalised people in our region.
Both schemes will provide excellent, state of the art self contained accommodation, together with tailored support for people who have experienced, or are at risk of experiencing, homelessness. Prospect Place is a 20 unit scheme with communal areas which will cater for all people aged over 24 who fall into this category, whilst Southernwood is a 14 unit scheme, also with communal areas, which will focus on adults aged 18-24.
This is a hugely exciting opportunity to lead, develop, and shape a brand new service which we believe will be a great asset to Gateshead for many years to come.
