Homelessness Deputy Manager Haringey RQ1678905 Pay Rate: £21.28 per hour PAYE Hours per week: 36, Monday – Friday, normal working hours This opening assignment is for 3 months Haringey, London, N15 4BNWhat's involved with this role: As a Deputy Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of Mulberry Junction, a single homelessness hub delivering a trauma-informed, psychologically informed and co-produced service. You will help lead a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, community-facing environment, supporting people to secure and sustain positive housing, health and wellbeing outcomes.
The role includes staff supervision, performance management, partnership working and contributing to the delivery of the Council’s Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategies.
Skills & Experience required:
- Understanding or experience of working with vulnerable homeless people or those at risk of homelessness
- Experience supervising staff or volunteers, or a strong willingness to develop management skills
- Ability to assess and manage risk appropriately
- Confident handling of challenging situations while maintaining boundaries
- Ability to understand and manage basic financial information (e.g. petty cash, rent statements)
- Knowledge of co-production and service user involvement
Key Responsibilities:
- Support staff with day-to-day casework and ensure high-quality, timely service delivery
- Model and promote trauma-informed, relational and psychologically informed practice
- Oversee move-on planning, including complex and long-stay cases
- Provide supervision, performance reviews and manage sickness absence
- Monitor service outcomes and ensure accurate data recording
- Support the Service Manager with operational, health and safety and building management tasks
